French Pie Safe

Hello Friends!

I wanted to share my beautiful French pie safe I found at the Long Beach Flea Market.
It's perfect for displaying my white ironstone dinnerware collection, one of my favorite treasures!

As nice as they look on display, we actually use them everyday!

I've used this pie safe for several different things throughout the year, but my favorite has to be using it for its intended purpose, holding and cooling pies!
It is a wonderful way to get the smell of autumn trailing through out your house.

Here is one of my favorite recipes to bake from Williams-Sonoma
It is so delicious!
I also use Williams-Sonomas Emile Henry Pie Dish.
I think it's the best!

I'm really looking forward to getting some fall decorating done around the house and maybe I'll even get around to making a pie!

Have a beautiful week my friends!

until next time,

xo
Cheryl

  5. So gorgeous and amazing photos!
In Australia we call cupboards like this 'meat safes'. Prior to electricity they were used with blocks of ice that were delivered to the home. The screens helped to keep the bugs away! Love
the idea of the aroma of pies wafting though the house....mmmm

  6. I love, love, love your pie safe! Just gorgeous! I have been looking for a pie dish that has those scalloped edges, I never even thought of looking at WS so thanks for sharing. I might even have to make that caramel apple pie in it! :) Yummy.
The dried lavender looks so pretty in the ironstone.

  9. Hi Cheryl,
What a great find. I have one pretty similar to yours. Just don't tell me how much you paid for it because I know I paid a fortune for mine. You probably got a deal.
I love the way it looks with your ironstone. I keep some of my favored treasures in mine.
Hope you have a lovely night.
    Sincerely,
    Melinda
